2008 Northern Nevada

 Bird Dog Championship Link

The Northern Nevada Bird Dog Association (NNBDA) was formed to promote hunting and dog training opportunities for club members and their dogs throughout the northern Nevada region.

Each March, the NNBDA holds a large upland bird dog championship that is open to the general public. This annual event is the club's primary fund raiser, with a substantial portion of the proceeds being applied toward upland bird habitat improvements.

The club also holds smaller, member only, events throughout the year. The intent of each of these events is to provide members the opportunity to evaluate the progress of their dog's training measured against previous events as well as against other dogs.

Aside from these formal events, many members meet informally almost every week to help each other train dogs and swap fictitious hunting tales.

Throughout the spring and summer of 2008, we will be holding informal dog training sessions each Saturday morning and Monday evenings.  For more information, email our our club president with any questions                  paul@nnbda.com

Our Mission

The Northern Nevada Bird Dog Association (NNBDA) is a non profit organization established to promote bird hunting opportunities in Northern Nevada for its members and their dogs.

NNBDA accomplishes this by promoting the use of well trained bird dogs for upland bird hunting and encouraging sustainable harvest management practices.

·         Through the combination of dog training clinics and competitive events, we strive to enhance the abilities of our dogs and our members.

·         Working with the Nevada Department of Wildlife as well as other organizations, we will promote and contribute to land management projects designed to improve the quality of wildlife in our area.

Motto – A well trained bird dog is an invaluable conservation tool.
