During the spring and summer months, many members get together on Monday evenings and/or Saturday mornings to train dogs together. The typical turnout is 8-12 people with as many as 20 dogs. Dogs range in ages from young puppies to fully trained adults. For those who are still training a young dog, it is a great opportunity to get help from other hunting enthusiasts as well as get your dog on a lot of birds at a young age. If you are one of the lucky ones who already has a fully trained dog, it is an excellent opportunity to get your dog on bird in the off season as well as see how your dog compares to other finished dogs. The club raises its own birds and we currently have bobwhite quail and chukar. The birds ARE NOT for sale to the general public. If you would like more information, please contact our club president Paul Gardner at paul@nnbda.com or you can call him at 775-233-0445 |
